Brown Bag Calendar

The Brown Bag Ministry requires lots of support from dedicated volunteers to be effective. Without the volunteers, the ministry would fail. There are several events that must happen each month in order to provide the food to our members(recipients) during the monthly Brown Bag week:

Brown Bag (Distribution) Week - the designated week for each month when each member(recipient) receives their monthly bag of groceries. Volunteer hours are from 8:30-11AM and distribution is from 9-11AM.

Food Bank Day - the second Wednesday of each month from 8:30-10:30AM. Volunteers help prepare boxes of food which will be distributed throughtout the communities served by Second Harvest Food Bank. This is our way of helping Second Harvest help more people in need.

Loading Day - the second Thursday of each month. Help is needed to pick up the groceries that have been purchased from various grocery stores and the Food Bank. Volunteers are also needed at the site to help unload items as they come in and to help set up the site for the next week.

All of these dates are listed in the calendar for the year. Check your schedule and if you have some time to help with the ministry, come join us!
